PlayQuort Terms and Conditions
Effective: August 19, 2026 · Version 1.0
Welcome to PlayQuort. These Terms govern your use of playquort.com, future PlayQuort applications, and related booking services. By creating an account, listing a venue, making a booking, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Booking Policy, and venue-specific rules shown to you when applicable.
1. About PlayQuort
PlayQuort is an online sports venue and facility booking platform. The Platform may support pickleball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, futsal, padel, squash, and other sports or recreational activities added in the future.
2. Marketplace role
Unless expressly stated otherwise, PlayQuort acts as a technology platform connecting users with independent sports venue and facility operators. PlayQuort generally does not own, operate, manage, maintain, or directly control listed venues. Venue operators remain responsible for their facilities, staff, services, prices, schedules, safety procedures, permits, and customer service. Nothing in these Terms removes responsibilities imposed on PlayQuort by applicable law.
3. Beta and early access
PlayQuort may operate as a beta, pilot, or early-access service. Features may change, technical issues may occur, and supported sports, locations, payment methods, or payment flows may be limited. During beta, some amounts may be processed through PlayQuort while other amounts remain payable directly to venue operators or competition organizers as disclosed at checkout.
4. Accounts
Users must provide accurate and current registration information, protect their login credentials, report suspected unauthorized access, and use accounts only for lawful purposes. Users may not impersonate another person, organization, venue, or business.
5. Player and customer responsibilities
Players and customers are responsible for reviewing booking details before confirmation, including the sport, venue, facility, date, time, participants, price, and applicable cancellation, rescheduling, and refund rules.
Users must arrive on time, follow venue rules, treat venue staff and other users respectfully, pay applicable charges, and avoid fraudulent bookings, intentional schedule blocking, harassment, or repeated abuse of the Platform.
6. Venue owner responsibilities
Venue owners represent that they are authorized to list and manage the venues and facilities they submit. Owners are responsible for accurate venue information, sports offered, courts, tables or playing areas, schedules, availability, prices, photographs, amenities, capacity, equipment information, booking rules, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, maintenance, safety procedures, permits, licenses, taxes, and honoring confirmed reservations.
7. Owner verification
PlayQuort may request government-issued identification, proof of venue authority, business or authorization documents, and current venue photographs. Verification is intended to reduce fraudulent listings and improve trust, but it is not a guarantee, certification, or warranty of venue safety, legal compliance, service quality, financial condition, or suitability.
8. Listings and content
Venue owners must provide truthful and non-misleading listings. By uploading photos, descriptions, logos, schedules, pricing, or similar content, the owner confirms that they have the right to use that content and permits PlayQuort to display, resize, compress, optimize, convert, reproduce, and use it as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Platform and the venue listing.
9. Bookings
Bookings are subject to availability, venue operating hours, blocked schedules, existing reservations, venue approval where required, payment requirements, and applicable venue policies. A submitted request may remain pending until the venue approves it.
10. Pricing, reservation fee, and beta payments
Venue owners generally control facility pricing. During the current beta payment model, PlayQuort collects a mandatory reservation fee equal to five percent (5%) of the displayed court booking total before a booking request is created. This 5% is part of the displayed booking total, not an additional 5% charge unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. The remaining balance is payable directly to the venue and is not collected, held, or remitted to the venue by PlayQuort during beta.
The reservation fee is processed through PayMongo using available payment methods such as QR Ph. A selected time may be placed on a temporary payment hold while payment is pending. A booking request is created only after PlayQuort receives or independently verifies successful payment confirmation from the payment provider. Payment-provider availability, processing times, and technical interruptions may affect the checkout process.
11. Cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds
Each venue may set its own cancellation cutoff, rescheduling cutoff, maximum reschedules, and refund policy, subject to applicable law. Venue-specific terms displayed before confirmation form part of the booking conditions. A “No Refund” policy applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
If a venue rejects a booking request after the PlayQuort reservation fee has been successfully collected, the collected reservation fee should be eligible for refund, subject to payment-provider processing times and applicable law. Where a player cancels, refund eligibility follows the booking policy shown for that reservation. PlayQuort can only directly refund amounts it actually collected; any balance paid directly to a venue must ordinarily be addressed with that venue.
12. Venue-initiated cancellation
A venue may need to cancel due to maintenance, unsafe conditions, weather, flooding, power interruption, emergency closure, scheduling problems, or other legitimate operational reasons. The venue should notify affected users as soon as reasonably possible and follow applicable refund, credit, or rescheduling procedures.
13. Sports participation and risk
Sporting and recreational activities involve inherent risks, which may include falls, slipping, collisions, physical exertion, dehydration, heat exposure, muscle or joint injury, and contact with balls, paddles, rackets, nets, tables, walls, equipment, or other participants. Users are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for their physical condition and abilities and should follow venue safety instructions.
Venue operators are responsible for the physical condition and operation of their premises. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not permit such exclusion or limitation.
13A. Open Play and Competition Open Play
PlayQuort may offer Regular Open Play and Competition Open Play. Regular Open Play is generally intended for organized social or recreational play. Competition Open Play is a competitive session created and operated by a venue owner or other authorized organizer using PlayQuort's platform tools. Unless PlayQuort expressly states that it is the organizer of a specific event, the venue owner or identified organizer — not PlayQuort — is responsible for operating that competition.
Competition Open Play is also subject to the Competition Open Play Terms and Safety Policy, the competition-specific rules displayed for the session, and any lawful venue rules shown before a participant joins.
13B. Competition organizer responsibilities
A venue owner or organizer who creates or publishes a Competition Open Play represents that they are authorized to organize the event for the selected venue. The organizer is responsible for the organizer-controlled parts of the event, including competition format, eligibility, rules, scheduling, officiating or referee arrangements, player management, venue operations, safety procedures, advertised prizes, and compliance with applicable permits, licenses, taxes, and laws.
PlayQuort may require the organizer to electronically acknowledge these responsibilities before a competition can be published or accept registrations. PlayQuort may store the acknowledgment, applicable policy version, venue, session, date and time, IP address, and browser/device information for security and evidentiary purposes.
13C. Competition rules, eligibility, and participant conduct
Competition participants must review the competition rules before joining and comply with lawful eligibility requirements, scoring or match procedures, scheduling instructions, venue rules, and organizer directions. Participants must not cheat, intentionally manipulate results, harass or threaten others, interfere with matches, submit false information, or otherwise disrupt the event.
Competition rules accepted by participants should not be silently replaced after participant, payment, or game history exists. Where a material correction is necessary, the organizer should provide clear notice and PlayQuort may require renewed acceptance where appropriate.
13D. Officiating, scores, results, and disputes
Unless PlayQuort expressly provides official tournament management for a particular event, referees, officials, scoring decisions, disqualifications, rankings, and final results are controlled by the competition organizer under the published competition rules. PlayQuort may provide technical tools to record or display information but does not guarantee the accuracy of organizer-entered scores or results.
When scoring or standings features are introduced, PlayQuort may preserve audit history or correction records to reduce silent alteration of final results.
13E. Competition prizes and promotions
Unless a competition page expressly identifies PlayQuort as the prize provider or sponsor, any prize, award, giveaway, discount, promotional benefit, or similar incentive advertised by an organizer is the organizer's responsibility. The organizer is responsible for accurately describing eligibility conditions and delivering advertised prizes and for complying with applicable promotion, tax, permit, and consumer-protection requirements.
13F. Competition incidents and complaints
Players may use PlayQuort's Competition Incident reporting feature for safety concerns, injuries, harassment, conduct issues, rules or scoring disputes, officiating concerns, prize issues, or payment/refund concerns. PlayQuort may review reports, preserve relevant records, contact involved parties, restrict Platform access, or refer urgent or legally required matters to appropriate authorities. PlayQuort's review is a Platform-support process and does not replace emergency, medical, police, court, consumer-protection, or other official remedies.
13G. Competition feature availability and future upgrades
Competition Open Play may be offered free during beta and may later become subject to an owner plan, subscription, feature entitlement, or other upgrade requirement. PlayQuort may change feature availability prospectively. Where reasonably practicable, an already-published competition with existing participant or payment history should not be abruptly disabled solely because a future upgrade requirement is introduced.
14. Independent venue operators
Venue operators are independent businesses or individuals and are not employees, agents, franchisees, representatives, or partners of PlayQuort solely because they use the Platform.
15. Location and third-party services
PlayQuort may use mapping, email, hosting, analytics, cloud, and payment providers. Features such as “Sports Facilities Near Me” may request device or browser location. Users may decline location permission and search manually where available. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
16. Prohibited activities
Users must not create fake accounts or venues, submit false verification documents, make fraudulent bookings, intentionally block schedules, harass others, impersonate others, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape data without authorization, misuse personal information, or use PlayQuort for unlawful activity.
17. Suspension and termination
PlayQuort may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary because of fraud, fake listings, false verification documents, repeated no-shows, harassment, security threats, illegal activity, serious complaints, abuse of Platform features, or violations of these Terms. Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to explain or correct an issue.
18. Platform availability
PlayQuort aims to provide reliable access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hosting problems, internet outages, security incidents, software updates, third-party failures, or events outside reasonable control may affect availability.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PlayQuort is not responsible for losses arising solely from acts or omissions of independent venue operators or other users, a user's failure to follow venue rules, inherent risks of sporting participation, information knowingly supplied incorrectly by another user, or events outside PlayQuort's reasonable control. This provision does not exclude or limit liability where applicable law prohibits doing so, including liability that may arise from PlayQuort's own acts, omissions, or negligence where applicable law imposes such responsibility.
20. Privacy and communications
Personal information is handled according to the PlayQuort Privacy Policy. Users may receive transactional communications such as account verification, security notices, booking requests, confirmations, rejections, cancellations, rescheduling notices, and material policy notices. Transactional communications are separate from optional promotional marketing.
21. Electronic acceptance
PlayQuort may record electronic acceptance of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Booking Policy, venue-specific rules, and other applicable acknowledgments. Records may include user ID, policy name, policy version, acceptance date and time, booking reference, IP address, and browser/device information for security and evidentiary purposes.
22. New sports and services
PlayQuort is intended to support multiple sports and recreational activities. New sports may be added without requiring entirely new Terms unless the new service materially changes user rights or obligations. Sport-specific rules may be introduced when necessary.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Platform features, sports, payment systems, business practices, technology, or legal requirements change. Material changes may require users to accept a new version before continuing to use certain services.
24. Complaints and disputes
Users should first contact PlayQuort regarding Platform-related concerns. Venue-specific concerns may also be referred to the relevant venue operator. Competition-related concerns may be submitted through the Competition Incident reporting feature where available. Nothing in these Terms prevents users from exercising rights or remedies available under applicable law.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, subject to mandatory consumer, privacy, and other protections under applicable law.
26. Severability
If any provision is determined invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
